The Meinl Agogo cuts through with bright melodic pitches and an open sound. These bells chime in with a brilliant tone that sits above most other percussion instruments. It’s a sure bet you'll be heard playing in large ensembles so you can layer your melodic patterns over the music to lift the rhythm. The flexible handheld stem on this model lets you squeeze the bells together to add clacking sound effects to your rhythms. This means you play accented notes between your sticking pattern. Meinl Agogo Bells have a distinct pitch interval between them to play melodic rhythms; small bell has a high pitch, large bell has a low pitch. Made with a steel alloy that delivers clear tone and plenty of volume; black powder coating muffles ring and controls overtones. BY THE NUMBERS: measures 10" L overall (including stem); 6" low pitch bell and 4 1/4" high pitch bell. This is a highly durable set of agogo bells that give you a classic sound for Brazilian Samba and African dance grooves. Built for indoor and outdoor performances. Designed in Germany.
