Jack Daniel's Tennessee has been smoothed drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal, then matured in handcrafted barrels of our own making. Tennessee Whiskey doesn't follow a schedule, it's only ready when the brand's tasters say it is. It's judged by the way it looks. By its aroma. And of course, by how it tastes. That's how Jack Daniel's himself did it more than a century ago. And it's how it's still made today; It has a balance of sweet and oaky flavor, Jack Daniel's chose a thoughtful recipe of 80% corn, 12% barley and 8% rye that is still used today. Using only premium corn gives the mash a tantalizing sweetness. A large amount of rye rounds out the sweetness with robust notes of pepper and spice. And just enough malt ties it all together with a creamy smoothness.
