This drum is similar to that of the Fundeh with the exception that the Akete drum is a bit shorter.
This drum is similar to that of the Fundeh with the exception that the Akete drum is a bit shorter. The head of the Akete drum is made from the skin of the ewe. The ewe is used to make the head of the Akete drum because the ewe bleats more and its tone is more strident hence it is ideal for the soprano pitch of the Akete drum.
