Evans Hydraulic Red drumheads begin life as two 7mm plies of synthetic film. Before being attached to the rim, the head is filled with oil and quickly sealed off. Once it’s tuned up, the oil acts as a built-in dampening agent that controls overtones and reduces the drum’s overall sustain. The result of this construction method is a drumhead that produces a warm, fat sound. Plus, with Evans Hydraulic Red heads on your toms, you're not likely to need gels, tape, control rings, or wallets to get the sound you're after.
Bonus 14-inch UV1 Coated snare head
A patented UV-cured coating and breakthrough 10-mil film give the Evans UV1 drumhead the kind of durability that drummers dream of. If you're tired of your coating wearing thin long before your head wears out, then Sweetwater drummers recommend the Evans UV1.
