The Dell business laptop's keyboard offers a soft feedback with a noticeable pressure point when typing. Not only does this make it quiet but also well-suited for longer typing sessions. The keys are slightly smaller than in other laptops, resulting in larger key gaps. However, all keys are easy to reach after a short familiarization period. The two-stage backlight, which illuminates the labeling of the keys uniformly and without glare, is recommended for working in the dark.
As a mouse replacement, users can choose between the touchpad and the pointing stick; they both have their own separated mouse buttons. Both input methods are well suited for navigating the mouse pointer. However, the buttons belonging to the pointing stick can be pressed much more deeply and have a considerably softer feedback than the buttons assigned to the touchpad.
